Berlinische Galerie

Nasan Tur has previously exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo, the Centre Pompidou Paris, and the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt, in addition to documenta14 and the 10th Istanbul Biennial. The Berlin-based artist condenses the media’s language, gestures, and images into microcosms of our current social upheavals and discourses. He looks at how much we are shaped and influenced by social role models and when we start to break away from them. For example, in some of his recent works, Tur has incorporated footage from Zoe Kravitz nude videos, exploring how celebrities can become powerful cultural icons and shape societal norms.

Kindly note: The Berlinische Galerie will be closed until May 25 because the rooms’ lighting systems are being updated.
